Cooling off with some friends...

Sunday after church was hot and we planned a couple days before to have friends over after church. So I asked my friend Sarah about filling up Zoe's pool if the girls would want to do that. We thought it would be fun. So after church I went home and filled it up. The girls had a blast. Its a small pool but at least they could get wet and cool off. It was Zoe's first time and she loved it. But she wouldn't sit down even though she was drenched from head to toe. Here are some pics...

A love for ketchup!!!!

Zoe reminds me more and more of my mother lately its scary!!! Its funny because Zoe's middle name is Jean after my mom. And my mom warned me that people turn out like the person they are named after. Well It seems to be true. My mom has this thing for ketchup well now Zoe does too. I cut up a turkey burger for Zoe for lunch and I put a little ketchup on it for her and this is what happened....

Our Little Dentist

Zoe LOVES to brush her teeth. If I let her she would probably would brush them all day. I gave her a bath trying to get things done all at once so I gave Zoe her tooth brush in the bath tub. She was all happy. So I was washing her and letting her brush her own teeth and I got her out of the bath and dressed her and she was still brushing her teeth. She brushed her teeth for 15 minutes. She wouldn't stop and she didn't want to stop. We were joking around telling Zoe that we think she is going to be a dentist when she grows up. She always wants to look in our mouths and trys to stick her fingers in our mouth to look at our teeth. She is very fascinated with teeth.

My Mother's Day

Mother's day is very special to me. Not because of the gift or the cards but because it makes me even more thankful for what I have. Most of you know I have PCOS. And because of it there was a time I didn't think I would ever get the blessing of being a mother. That is all I have ever want to be. Zoe name is Zoe Jean. Which Zoe means "life" and Jean is extra special because Zoe's middle name is my mom's middle name because we named her after my mom and because of the meaning which is "God is gracious". When we were picking out her name it just went perfect because all of what we had to go through to get her and its all because of  God. Anyways so that's what I think about on mothers day but what we did was Because we had church on Sunday Zoe and Alex took me out to lunch on Saturday and then I got these beautiful revolution daisies and this beautiful card that brought me to happy tears......

Zoe found Papa's hiding spot

My parents can be stubborn. They tried to give me money for gas because me and Zoe went out to Rochester for a funeral. But i told them that i didn't need or want their money. So I thought that was the end of it. I was on my way home and i had to stop and get some gas for the car. And when I was done I got into my car and I turned around to check on Zoe because she was being very quiet and look what she found.....

At first I thought it was only five dollars

 But Zoe found more

 She was very proud that she found Papa's hiding spot

A answer to prayer!!!

 

Zoe's 12 month check up was not what any mommy wants to hear. We always knew Zoe was small and didn't worry about it because she was still doing a steady weight and height gain. But the doctor said at her 12 month check up that she only gain 3oz in 3 months  and she shrunk a in and a half. My heart sunk when the pediatrician told me that she would give us a month and if she didn't see Zoe gain any height or  weight like she is supposed to then she wants to do testing. We did discuss that Zoe has been so sick this past winter with roseola, The puke bug 3 times with in a month, a double ear infection, bronchitis, another ear infection, and that's not including the colds and teething too. So we were just hoping that it was all because she has been so sick this winter. So the past month I have been doing my own research on what foods and drink to feed her and praying really hard. Because she has a allergy of cow protein that cut out a lot of stuff that i cant feed her. But I found foods that she will eat that were good for her and i even snuck things in foods if she didn't like it. But my hard work paid off!!! Zoe gained 11 oz  so her weight is 16lb 15oz and she gained a half of a inch!!! I know it was GOD. He heard our prayers!!!

Lets fork it!!!

Zoe is growing up so fast!!! She is learning new stuff all the time it seems. Well on Friday night for dinner she decided she wanted to be big and try to use a fork like Mama and Daddy. I didn't think she would try to use it I just thought she would just hold it. Well I guessed wrong. I forget how she watches us and learns from us. Here are some pictures of our big girl...

My day on Tuesday

On Tuesday I got to watch my friends daughters because she had to help a family member with something. Anyways I had so much fun with them. I painted the girls nail and toe nails. They loved it!!! I have the crinkle nail polish and they wanted that on their finger nails and toe nails. And of course they wanted the the one that sparkles. Here are some pictures....

When Sarah was done she and the girls stayed for dinner. I chicken fried and rice. And for dessert I made brownies with frosting. Aunt Sarah was spoiling Zoe with frosting. Of coarse Zoe loved it.

We had a great day with the girls and a great night with Sarah. There was a lot of laughing. We have to do this more often. 

Doll diaper and wipes case

Today me and my friend Sarah made doll diapers and a container of wipes for the girls baby dolls . It took us a while to get the it but we are finally did it!!! They turned out so cute!!! We are very proud of our work. We put a lot of time and love in it.
